ESA & other evaluations
Clinical evaluations beyond immigration
Emotional support animal letters, court-ordered assessments, and clinical evaluations — with the same care, cultural sensitivity and bilingual support.

For housing
Emotional support animal (ESA) letters
An emotional support animal can provide comfort and stability to people living with a mental health condition. Many apartments and rental homes require a letter from a licensed mental health professional before they make an exception to a “no pets” policy.
We complete a clinical assessment first. If an emotional support animal is appropriate for your needs, we provide a signed letter you can give to your landlord or property manager.
How it works
- Request an appointment by form, phone or WhatsApp.
- Clinical assessment, by telehealth or in person, in English or Spanish. The session lasts 45–60 minutes — a real conversation, not an online questionnaire.
- If appropriate, you receive your signed ESA letter within 2–3 business days.

For courts & agencies
Court-ordered assessments
Objective, clearly written mental health assessments requested by a judge, probation officer, attorney or agency — including a diagnostic impression and treatment recommendations. We also assess the psychological impact of trauma on victims of crime.
From $500, depending on the case
For individuals
Clinical evaluations
For adults who want clarity about what they are experiencing. A diagnostic evaluation with a written report and a clear plan of recommendations, so you know what kind of care to look for next.
From $350
Questions about ESA letters
Is an ESA letter guaranteed?
No. A letter is provided only when the clinical assessment shows that an emotional support animal is appropriate for your mental health needs.
Is an ESA the same as a service animal?
No. Service animals are trained to perform specific tasks. An ESA provides comfort through its presence, and its protections apply mainly to housing.
Can I use the letter to fly with my pet?
Since 2021, U.S. airlines are no longer required to accept emotional support animals, so an ESA letter is mainly used for housing. Check directly with your airline about its pet policy.
Can I do the assessment online?
Yes. Assessments are available by secure telehealth or in person at our Phoenix office, in English or Spanish.
